1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ace the Interview ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Ace the Interview is an AI-powered interview preparation platform offering mock interviews, face-to-face voice roleplay, technical quizzes, and CV reviews. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial practice purposes only.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behaviour.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Free accounts have limited monthly usage. Pro accounts unlock higher limits and additional features.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from the Billing page.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe a refund is warranted.

5. AI-Generated Content

Interview questions, feedback, and reports are generated by AI models (including OpenAI GPT-4o-mini). AI output may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Responses should be treated as practice material only — not as professional career advice. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from using the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
  • Submit content that is abusive, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform code, design, and branding belong to Ace the Interview. Content you submit (CV text, answers) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not use your personal answers or CV data to train AI models.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ace the Interview is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. We will retain your data for 90 days after which it will be deleted, unless required by law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to legal proceedings.
